The mission of the “Science with XFELs (XFEL)” research group is to federate the French research community involved in the use of free electron lasers (FELs) emitting in the X-ray range. At the interface of physics, chemistry and biology, the GDR XFEL aims to share know-how and to keep the community up to date on the rapid evolution of the possibilities in these facilities.

The objectives of the research association "Science with XFEL", GDR XFEL, is to gather the french community implyed in the use of x-ray free electron laser (XFEL). At the interface between physics, chemistry,and biology the GDR XFEL aims at sharing knowledge and knowabout and at maintaining the state of the art of the rapidly evolving big facilities.
